Beaumaris Residence | 2026

Our clients wanted a relaxed, contemporary kitchen with a bit of retro character.

The muted sage green cabinetry gives the kitchen a soft, earthy feel, while the dark terrazzo benchtops and timber handles add warmth and a mid-century touch. The rounded end of the island softens the look and gives it more of a furniture feel. Behind the cooktop, the creamy textured tiles add interest and create a lovely backdrop for the black statement rangehoods.

The mix of colours, textures and curves gives this kitchen plenty of character while keeping the overall look clean and modern.

DESIGN TIPS

To get a contemporary Mid-Century look, combine simple, modern cabinetry with earthy colours, warm timber and a few retro-inspired details. Mix smooth and textured finishes, and use curves to soften the straight lines. The trick is to keep things simple while choosing a few thoughtful details that give the kitchen character.
