Blairgowrie Residence | 2026

In collaboration with Youngs Builders, the homeowners and their architect, this custom kitchen was thoughtfully designed as one of the centerpieces of a newly built Blairgowrie beach house, blending refined coastal living with timeless architectural detailing.

The Indian granite creates a stunning focal point, with expressive grey veining flowing seamlessly from the benchtops to the splashback. Its natural movement is balanced by subtle two-tone V-groove cabinetry, adding texture and depth while maintaining a clean, architectural aesthetic. Minimalist stainless steel handles complement the tall pantry and integrated refrigeration, while a vintage-inspired teal freestanding oven adds personality and coastal charm.

The result is a kitchen that balances bold natural beauty with thoughtful craftsmanship – timeless, functional, and perfectly suited to contemporary coastal living in Blairgowrie.

DESIGNER TIPS

A successful coastal kitchen doesn’t rely on nautical themes or beach-inspired décor. Instead, it draws on natural materials, texture, and colour to create a relaxed connection to its surroundings. In this kitchen, the flowing veining of the natural granite reflects the organic movement found in the coastal landscape, while the V-groove cabinetry adds subtle texture reminiscent of traditional beach house detailing.
