Brunswick Residence | 2021

Bring the garden in. We wanted this kitchen to feel fresh, relaxed and connected to nature — a little escape from busy city living.

Soft Ashton White cabinetry keeps the space light and fresh, while timber shelves and handles add warmth and texture. Sage green subway tiles bring a subtle earthy touch, tying in beautifully with the indoor greenery and bringing a little bit of the garden inside.

Biophilic Design Tips

Make the most of sloped ceilings. Instead of filling them with bulky storage, use open shelving and a low, horizontal rangehood box to let the architecture breathe. Keep tall storage to a flat, full-height cabinetry wall.

Add potted herbs, trailing plants or timber shelving to create a natural connection with the garden and enhance the room’s organic feel.
