Design Consultation Guide

What happens next?

Your designer will visit your home to take a detailed brief, assess your space, and understand your preferred style, finishes, and any structural considerations. If your consultation is at our showroom, please bring measurements, photos, and any available plans.

The consultation typically runs for 1 to 1.5 hours.

After the meeting, your designer will prepare your Design Concept and an initial proposal. We will then arrange a follow-up appointment at our showroom to present the concept, walk you through the design details, and provide a full explanation of the project costings. This second meeting usually takes place within 1 to 2 weeks and runs for 1.5 to 2 hours.

What is included?

The fee covers the time and expertise of our designer, including:

  • A personalized design consultation and detailed design brief;
  • Preparation of your Design Concept (presented in-person only);
  • A comprehensive Complete Kitchens proposal outlining costings for cabinetry, benchtops, accessories, delivery and installation, and any applicable trades coordination;
  • Itemized trade estimates covering demolition, plumbing, electrical, plastering, tiling, and basic carpentry.  For complex or specialized works, we may provide a sperate quote or refer you to a suitable specialist.

*Please note: For off-plan projects (such as new builds or extensions), the scope and focus of the consultation may vary depending on the stage of the project. In these cases, our designer will advise what services can be provided at that time. 

Important note about drawings and plans

Your Design Concept is presented for viewing only during your showroom appointment. As this fee is a consultation service rather than a drawing package. Any drawings,plans and 3D views are not provided or released to clients at this stage.

These drawings become available once you proceed with the project, sign the contract, and pay the deposit.

Need to Reschedule or Cancel?

If you need to make any changes to your appointment, please contact us on 03 9543 8888 or email info@complete-kitchens.com.au at your earliest convenience, and we will do our best to assist.

If you choose to cancel your consultation, we are happy to refund your fee. Please provide at least 2 days’ notice so we can offer the appointment to another client.

*Please note:

[1] Design Fees are fully redeemable when you proceed with your project and will be automatically deducted from your quotation.

[2] Design Fees cover one room only. Additional fees apply to extra rooms. One set of redrawing is included after contract signing; further changes are charged at $120 per hour (min.1 hour). All prices included GST.

[3] Concept designs and costings are presented in person only and cannot be sent via email.
